Hey Bill,
Great
plans!!! I looked them over and I didn't find any "errors" in your
drawings.
They are easy to understand and worded very well.
I
just discovered that tonight, Tuesday March 10, the Military Channel
will be
showing an hour-long program on repeating crossbows.
From the trailer I guess
it's mostly about Chinese ones. Their
resident mad scientist is going to try to
improve on the
ancient design. It looks iike
(SIC) he does -- he triggers an
explosion.
I think Bill has already beaten him to the punch -- simple and
effective.
[chu ko nu history here](UK)
The crossbow plans look fun but of academic interest only as they are
not
sold here anymore ( Not sure if they are even legal ).
They were popular when I
went to school but were soon banned
at school even though the school shop sold
cigarettes to
students at the time ( Much safer ). The repeater would have been
seriously
cool in those innocent days.
[a
reminder to make sure it is legal where you live]I
would guess that Bill's chu-ko-new might be the first practical upgrade
for a repeating
crossbow in 4000 years :)
What a
thought.
